After the Sale

It is now November 2008. Almost one year since we closed escrow on the sale of our home. What an ordeal. We sold for $50,000 less than we'd intended and had to do a few additional repairs and inspections than anticipated but it all worked out in the end. We are happy to have been able to close the book on this chapter so we could start anew. Yes, there were pains but the relief was greater.

Now we have been renting for many months as we continue to watch home prices decrease even further. Now it is our turn to buy at a time that suits us best. The choice to sell was a hard one but a wise one. Thanks to all friends, family and colleagues who lent their meaningful insights, sage advice and caring support through a challenging time.
